Green Overdrive test the Think City Electric Vehicle

This week in Green Overdrive Katie takes the Th!nk City for a spin.

Norway-based electric car firm Think, who in May secured $47m in fresh funding, plan to finally bring 500 electric cars, the Think City, to fleets in the U.S. this year.

A launch for consumer sales in the U.S. is planned for mid to late 2011. Priced around US$30,000, the Think City will have a very hard time competing against the higher quality and better specification NISSAN LEAF that will sell for $25,280 after U.S. tax credit.

If they want to compete with the LEAF, they will REALLY have to lower the price. $30,000?!
