Yahoo names Tesla Model S as 2013 Car of the Year [VIDEO]

Yahoo Auto chose Tesla’s Model S as its 2013 model year car of the year, saying the all-electric car produced at Tesla’s Fremont factory is a “futureshock of an electric sedan.”

After test-driving more than 100 cars, the news website praised the Model S’s “instant torque,” its composed turning capabilities and low center of gravity, and ample frunk (that’s a front trunk) and trunk space. Yahoo even went as far as to call the car “practical,” despite its higher than $60,000 price tag (depending on options) and the fact that it’s an all-electric.
